Ruin is a gift...

"Ruin is a gift. Ruin is the road to transformation" -"Eat, Pray, Love" the Movie I am watching on my night "in".

Oh, how very true. It is a gift to come to a place where you realize life as it is, as it was, is not working anymore. At that point you don't see it as a gift, it doesn't feel like a gift and I guess depending on how you use it, it can be a gift....or your demise. A gift if you turn to Jesus....and well a  life of hell if you don't.

Biblicially there are so many people who were brought to a "ruin" and their lives were transformed by God. Joseph, David, Peter, Mary and the list goes on.

A quote I love....
"Accepting the reality of our sinfulness means accepting our authentic self. Judas could not face his shadow; Peter could. The latter befriended the impostor within; the former raged against him." - Brennan Manning

I have so many thoughts, so many things that have happened and are happening. Things that have changed our family forever, good and bad. Things we are looking into, praying about and seeking God step by step that He could use us, old ragamuffins for His kingdom. I will have to keep it all under wraps for now, but you can be praying for wisdom for our future, for a multitude of reasons. All we know is that we want to live for him and serve Him. He has saved us, our marriage, our future, our very lives in numerous ways from numerous things and to HIM be ALL the Glory.

"The way of trust is a movement into obscurity, into the undefined, into ambiguity, not into some predetermined, clearly delineated plan for the future. The next step discloses itself only out of a discernment of God acting in the desert of the present moment. The reality of naked trust is the life of the pilgrim who leaves what is nailed down, obvious, and secure, and walks into the unknown without any rational explanation to justify the decision or guarantee the future. Why? Because God has signaled the movement and offered it his presence and his promise." — (Ruthless Trust: The Ragamuffin's Path to God)
